From scratch and made with love, these traditional French cakes that Maman is known for will not only show how much you care but are also a sweet treat you can both enjoy!

Preparation
○ Preheat oven to 425°F ○ Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix with a wooden spatula ○Melt the butter in a pan and let it cool down ○ Chop the zest of the lemon ○ Break the eggs in a bowl and pour in the sugar. Whisk for 5 minutes until combined and bubbly ○ Add in the flour and baking powder, butter, chopped zest and thyme ○ Butter the Madeleine pan and add the dough to 2/3of the madeleine pan ○ Bake at 425°F for 5 minutes and reduce the heat to 390°F and bake for another 10 minutes ○ Unmold the madeleine when it is at room temperature and let it sit to cool down |
