Spiked Apple Cider Bourbon Recipe
We’ve approached that time of year when if it isn’t a Pumpkin Spice Latte, then it is most certainly apple cider, and because I’m not one for the PSL, I have become a serious apple cider fanatic.
And rather than enjoy apple cider hot, I’ve been enjoying it cold and incorporating new flavours, textures and liquors to switch things up, which is when I discovered the tasty Bourbon Apple Cider. For me, I’ve never been a fan of bourbon solo, but the taste it offers when its mixed with the right concoctions make for a perfect fall-inspired cocktail.
A few simple ingredients, a few seasonal touches and voila, you’ve got a delicious spikes apple cider! Scroll through to the see recipe below.
Spiked Apple Cider Bourbon
Ingredients:
- Bourbon
- Apple cider (*homemade recipe is below)
- Ground cinnamon
- Granulated sugar
- Rosemary sprig
Directions:
- Pour a small amount of apple cider in a low dish or small plate.
- Mix equal parts ground cinnamon and granulated sugar in another bowl.
- Dip rim of drinking glass of choice in apple cider then dip in cinnamon sugar mix to create a cinnamon-sugar rim. Add 2 parts bourbon and 4 parts apple cider, stir and serve with rosemary and cinnamon stick garnish.
